Not so beachy

By ImpostorMom

Well the trip to the beach was a total bust. We didn’t actually get to go to the beach because it rained the. whole. time! We went for about 15 minutes on Saturday evening while it was sprinkling and the wind was blowing. I had Booger in a sling and surprisingly he was very excited. The Husband tried to let him dip his toes in the ocean but we didn’t have a bathing suit on him (since it was so nasty) and he got all wet. We went back to the condo and went in the pool for about 5 minutes and he didn’t care for that AT ALL.

Oh well, my mom wants to make this Labor Day beach thing an annual thing and this is the second year we’ve done it so we’ll try again next year when he’s almost two. Maybe he can play on the beach then and not eat the sand. :)

My mom has also decided that she is starting a shell collection for the Boog. Each year during this annual trip she and the Booger will find a shell to keep and write the place and year on it. This collection starts with a shell she stole from the screened porch at our condo since we didn’t actually get to the beach. I find this hysterical and intend to make THAT story part of the collection. >:)

And now some pictures from our (no)Beach vacation:

Ok, so we went to the beach once.

But it looked like this most of the time

The Husband took this video. The wind was blowing and it made the sand do this. It looked pretty cool but stung your ankles.

I did dress up Booger in his beach wear and take pictures though, I mean he won’t be able to wear it next year.
