Besides having no time to eat those first couple months with my daughter, I find that walking is a really great workout. We don't own a car, and so we walk around the neighborhood to get groceries, go to the library, etc. I make a point to walk a little briskly to get my heart rate up, and pushing the stroller adds a little resistance (especially when there's a couple gallons of milk in the bottom). Eating breakfast (yes eating) also does some good, because it gives my body the nutrients it needs to keep me going during the day. This in turn helps burn off the extra pounds. So I'm within ten pounds of my pre-preg weight now. It's true my old jeans don't fit the same, but I am able to fit into some of them now.

I agree, I loved having a big fat belly full of baby...now that it's empty and still fat, I don't feel quite the same about it. I hope your new workout works out ;)

The best I’ve ever felt about my body was when I was pregnant.

Amen to that one! My self-image would be SO MUCH BETTER if I could just be pregnant year round. But that's not quite realistic, now is it?
