Random thoughts for today…

Consumerism
Damn that stupid Apple with the making me want stuff! I think Steve Jobs might be the devil. I so want an iPod touch. It has the freakin’ Internet. Alas, I cannot have one. I do not have an extra $300-400 and the husband and I both upgraded our Minis no less than 6 months ago. Stupid freakin’ Apple.

Not to mention that we just got a bill in the mail this morning for $1160 for a survey of some property we are selling. Holy Crap! Those were my exact words, cause we don’t have a spare $1200 laying around. If anyone wants to buy a house in the North GA mountains, I know where you can get one. :)

Observant (or not so)
I just made probably my 5th or 6th trip to the bathroom today (I drink a lot of water) and at 1PM I just now noticed that my underwear is on inside out. Lovely. At least no one else knows. Not like that time I almost walked out of the medical room at work after pumping WITHOUT my shirt. I said almost.

Updates (cause I know you care)
I’m not weaning the little man. I had an emotional crying fit on Monday after trying to feed him at daycare on my lunch break. He bit me for what felt like the bajillionth time and I just cried, I mean like sobbed. It didn’t hurt that bad but it was the combination of all the other crap and the fact that he’d been up every two hours the night before. Well, apparently that is what it takes for him to get the picture because, I kid you not, he hasn’t bitten me since.

I ended up going back to the poisonous Dr. Brown’s bottles. Apparently the strike was the bottles. I guess my boy likes his milk with a side of plasticky chemicals. He’s only getting one bottle a day so I’m thinking I’m at least minimizing his exposure. And his daycare provider is working on getting him to drink it cold.

I still haven’t made any decisions on whether or not to have surgery on my wrist. It still hurts but I just don’t know how I will take care of Boogie and work with my right hand in a brace that immobilizes my thumb for several weeks. If anyone has had a similar surgery or injury any advice would be appreciated.

That’s all I got.

Oh! Except I am totally doing my happy dance (sadly, there really is a dance, the husband finds it very amusing) that The Office and Grey’s Anatomy will be back tonight. I might even stay up past 10pm to watch both! Thank the Gods for Tivo!

  1. Glad to hear Boog is easing up.

My MIL had carpal tunnel surgery in April and she is still having problems — something didn’t heal quite right, or the surgery wasn’t quite right??? Not sure on this. I dunno, it’s a tough call. Can you wait until he older?
