Well, ultimately my husband couldn’t give up the damn truck. We looked at two different Muranos and although he liked them he didn’t feel like it was a good enough deal to give up the truck.
I vowed that I would not bully him into this decision the way I was bullied into the truck. And maybe that was my mistake seeing as I really wanted to get rid of that thing. There were several times during the haggling that my husband looked to me to ask what I thought and I simply continued to reiterate that he already knew what I thought. I suppose he was looking to me to talk him into it.
After getting to the bitter end of buying two different cars and not being able to go through with it I was sort of ill about it all day Saturday. I suppose I should have tried to talk him into it because instead I just resorted to pouting because I’d gotten my hopes up only to have them let down. I think I’m over it now. He’s still talking about various other cars but I’m not really going to believe him until he asks me to sign paperwork. :P

awww. that sucks. But I think it’s actually very good of you not to bully him or guilt him into it. You don’t want that resentment. But hopefully he will get rid of it soon. :-)

Can your husband come teach my husband how to walk away from a car deal? I would like to go look at a little something something at a dealership down the street from our house, but I know for a fact that if I even say the words out loud, it will be a done deal. Mr. Husband LOVES buying things and he refuses to let some little thing like getting ripped off stand in his way.

Yeah, the Boyfriend always asks my opinion about buying this or that. But if I say no, he will continue to ask me until I give in and say yes. This is how he got an iphone and an $800 watch. Thank god he doesn’t have enough money to buy another car!
