Nothing says crisis
like a new hole in your face
welcome home 30

So I have always wanted my nose pierced and for some reason I never got it done. A few weeks ago my husband’s niece showed up at a family gathering with her’s done and it just looked so cute. I said to her “oh man I’ve always wanted my nose pierced but I can’t do that, I’m old.” She of course disagreed and the idea was born to get my nose pierced on my 30th birthday.
I didn’t actually wait until Saturday because it was seeming more and more like I was going to have a hard time fitting it in. I went last night by myself and got it done. It hurt but not as bad as I anticipated (hmm, just like the wedding). In all reality, it’s barely noticeable. Just a tiny silver stud. When it’s all healed I might get something a little more sparkly but I’ll probably always still with the stud.
Nose piercing aren’t even all that outrageous anymore. They’re pretty common place these days. I mean hell the girl on Sesame Street has one. It does seem like a nice cap to my 20s though. I got a tattoo when I was 20 and now a piercing at 30. Hmm, what am I gonna do for 40?

It’s cute on you. Does it feel like you have to pick a booger though? That’s always been my fear.

Happy 30th, and congrats on the piercing! I’ve always wanted a nose piercing, but I’m afraid it would bother me once it is in. I totally admire it on others, and yours looks really cute. Fun haiku!

I have two tattoos, but no piercings other than multiple ones on my ears. I wonder what 40 will bring? Hmmmm, I can’t wait to find out.
